Who has not ever thought that their morning coffee has slipped and ended up leaving a stain on their blouse or shirt? Getting up early has its consequences and is often solved by putting the stained garment in the washing machine, but things get complicated when it is a rug or the sofa that ends up with a drop of coffee. But if it happens to you, don’t worry, since there are a series of home tricks to eliminate the stain and explain to you below.

Garments of different fabrics (Coffee Stains)

Depending on each garment’s material, one method or another will have to be used so as not to deteriorate it. In the case of a delicate fabric such as wool or silk or very colorful garments, it is best to dilute the stain with a little egg yolk. First, spread the cloth on a smooth surface, then separate the yolk from the white. Beat the yolk and dilute it with a little warm water. The last step will be to rub the coffee stains with the yolk using a clean cloth and rinse it afterward under running water.

Finally, if the garment that has been stained is made of synthetic fabric, then the trick is to use a little ice. This can be in the form of a cube or chopped, and the stain should be rubbed with it. Then all you have to do is rinse it by hand with a little lemon or white vinegar and a few drops of 90ºC alcohol before washing it with soap and water. You’ll see how the stain disappears completely!
